How to use TablePress
After installing the plugin, you can create and manage tables on the āTablePressā screen in the WordPress Dashboard.
To insert a table into a post or page, add a āTablePress tableā block in the block editor and select the desired table or use Shortcodes with common page builders.

Installation
The easiest way to install TablePress is via your WordPress Dashboard:
- Go to the āPluginsā screen, click āAdd Newā, and search for āTablePressā in the WordPress Plugin Directory.
- Click āInstall Nowā and after that’s complete, click āActivateā.
- Create and manage tables by going to the āTablePressā screen in the admin menu.
- To insert a table into a post or page, add a āTablePress tableā block in the block editor and select the desired table or use Shortcodes with common page builders.
Manual installation works just as for other WordPress plugins:
- Download the TablePress ZIP file and extract it on your computer.
- Move the folder ātablepressā to the āwp-content/plugins/ā directory of your WordPress installation, e.g. via FTP.
- Activate āTablePressā on the āPluginsā screen of your WordPress Dashboard.
- Create and manage tables by going to the āTablePressā screen in the admin menu.
- To insert a table into a post or page, add a āTablePress tableā block in the block editor and select the desired table or use Shortcodes with common page builders.

- A new āFuzzy Searchā feature module allows the visitor to find similar and not just exact search matches. This is useful when e.g. searching for words with the same pronunciation but different spelling. (TablePress Max only.)
- The āColumn Filter Dropdownsā feature module now allows specifying which columns should get a dropdown, and itās possible to change their order! (TablePress Pro and Max only.)

- The āScrollā modeās arrow buttons now stick to the top of the page, making them easier to use in long tables.
- In addition, they will now only be shown if a table actually needs horizontal scrolling!
